Mixed stock refers to localities that contain multiple stock fragments. The strategy and locality level determine the extent to which stock fragments in a given locality are allowed to differ.
The idea behind this setting is that localities that are too mixed may lead to operators picking the wrong stock.
There are a number of strategies to choose from:
Homogeneous (default) – The locality may contain one item, lot, sublot, and expiration.
The following stragies are often combined with the Locations setting Maximum Depth:
Heterogeneous – The locality may contain any item, lot, sublot, and expiration.
HeterogeneousByItemAndExpiration – The locality may contain one item, any lot, any sublot, and one expiration.
HeterogeneousByLot – The locality may contain one item, any lot, any sublot, and any expiration.
HeterogeneousBySubLots – The locality level may contain one item, one lot, any sublot, and any expiration.
