Go to Lot Manager > Sub-lots, select the sub-lot and click Edit. Select the stock fragment you want to modify via Details > Stock Fragments and click Split Sublot.
In the following screen, fill in the following required fields:
Sublot Code: A new sublot code has to be entered, since the existing sublot may be linked to other stock fragments that need to retain their information.
Expiration: Fill in the the expiration date for the new sublot.
Quantity to split: Leave the prefilled quantity if you want to change the expiration date for the full fragment. If you want to split off some portion of the fragment, please specify the quantity to update with the new expiration date.
Reason for splitting: Fill in a reason for splitting the stock.
In the subsequent screen, choose an activity type within the Count category. A count activity will be created and automatically fulfilled, in the course of which the following will happen:
The specified quantity will be subtracted from the current sublot.
The same specified quantity will be added to the new sublot with the new expiration date.
You should now be able to look up the new sublot via Lot Manager > Sub-Lots.
