What happens with a customer registration? Which emails are sent? And to whom? And can the new customer also place an order immediately? There are two options for this. If you want the customer to be able to order immediately, follow steps 1 to 3 (option 1). If you do not want the customer to be able to order immediately, follow option 2.
Step 1: Settings > Non-logged in customer may order stock sale. Ask support to enable this setting. When this setting is enabled, a "registration" button will appear on the login page. A new customer can register via this button. In order to then also create an order. The order is sent to the ERP with the customer data. When the customer has registered, but has not yet placed an order, the customer can receive a session restore link. This session remains valid indefinitely, until an account has been created. In order to be able to send this, the placeholder {SESSION_RESTORE_LINK} must be set in the template 'Customer registration' (see the images in step 3). Depending on the ERP, this customer can be automatically sent to the Portal.
Step 2: The customer registers via the website. A standard form is available for this. The settings for the form can be found in the module "Block manager". Here you can set where it is visible on the website. And also via which URL the form can be found. In addition, this form can be adjusted as desired via the module "Adjustable forms". A number of system fields are mandatory by default. Self-created fields can be given characteristics. Examples of these are: drop-down, multiple choice selection or images. You can also make these mandatory.
Step 3: The customer has registered. In settings > Email Management; it is set which email address will receive an email from this by default. In addition, you can also link CC and BCC recipients to this via the module "Templates". This concerns the templates: Customer registration and Customer registration company.
The template "Customer registration" is for the email that is sent to the new customer. Then an email is sent that is intended for your organization via the template "Customer registration company". Choose template > Edit > Choose a language > Determine the content of the email and who receives it. When a language is offline and the form is filled in in that language, no email is sent. (The template "New customer" belongs to the prospects form, which a sales agent can fill in in the sales app. This is sent as an email to your organization)
Option 2: If you do not want a customer to register and order immediately, disable the setting "Not logged in customer may order stock sale". Settings > Non-logged in customer may order stock sale. For questions about this setting you can ask support. The placeholder {SESSION_RESTORE_LINK} is then also not needed in the template "Customer registration". Furthermore, customers can then register via the set link in the header or footer of the home page. The data will be sent to you by email. This can then be processed in the ERP and after the synchronization to the Portal the customer will be able to create a password for the account.
